Welcome to our school's online series, "Why I Value Catholic Education"

My name is Julianne Holler. I attended St. Michael School from 6th-8th grade (Aug 2005-June 2008). My time at SMS was exceptional. Sending me to SMS is in my opinion a wonderful choice that my parents afforded me.

Some of my best years of schooling were during my time here. Having the opportunity to participate in events such as PJAS, History Day, English Festival and Mr President were not only exceptional educational experiences, but also were great for meeting other people, and seeing new places.

As my education continued, these events set a very strong basis for me academically. Being able to complete an in-depth science project and term paper is something that I will always remember as being rewarding to be academically from such a young age.

In addition, the teachers that I had at SMS (Mrs. Kremm, Mrs. K, Mrs. Shutes, and Miss Lipani just to name a few) were also one of a kind. The dedication that they had to the students and their jobs was second to none.

I currently reside in Sharpsville, Pa. I graduated with my Bachelors degree in Biology from Thiel College in 2016 and have since been employed full-time at Ridge-Dell Holsteins LLC as the herdsman for a 125 cow dairy farm.

In April 2022, Julianne came for an assembly to tell the students about her time at SMS and what life is like now on a dairy farm. Our students had SO many great questions for her.
