Retreats: An annual retreat for our teachers and for the students at every grade level is planned as part of their spiritual formation.
Class Masses:
Each class has the opportunity to plan one of our Friday school Masses. Students are involved as lectors, cantors, greeters, ushers, gift bearers, choir members or altar servers as their age level permits. Parents are invited and encouraged to worship with us.
Sacramental Preparation:
Students prepare to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation in the Second Grade. Parent-child meetings are scheduled by the religious education director. There is a Reconciliation Retreat, usually on a Saturday in February or March. On this day, First Reconciliation takes place for the child and parents have the opportunity for confession.
First Eucharist is received by children in the third grade, usually on the first Sunday in May. Again, parent involvement is essential to the child’s preparation. Parent-child meetings and a Saturday retreat are scheduled by the religious education director.
