Hi,
my name is Nancy Kremm and I joined the Saint Michael School faculty in 1996 as
the Middle School religion, math, and social studies teacher. It was an honor
in 2014 to be named Principal.
I grew up in Oakmont, a suburb of Pittsburgh, and attended St. Irenaeus
Catholic School where I was taught by the Sisters of Charity. I graduated
from Thiel College with a B. A. in Psychology and elementary teaching
certification for grades K – 8. The love of children was my motivation to enter
the field of education. While at Thiel I met my husband, John, who graduated
from Reynolds High School.
My first teaching position was fourth grade at St. Alphonsus School in
Pittsburgh. After teaching one year, we relocated to Florida along with my
parents, brothers, and sister. However, when our first child was born, we
decided to move back to Greenville so that our family could be raised in a small
community. I also taught middle school at Monsignor Geno Monti School for
4 years. Although I have substituted in many public schools, it is the Catholic
School in which I have always chosen to accept a full-time position.
Miss Cleland, my education professor at Thiel, and I had many private talks on
the role of an educator. It was the Catholic Schools which supported my commitment
to teaching the whole child, both mind and spirituality. Each child is an
individual with different needs and learning styles and lessons should reflect
this. Teaching and sharing my faith are my true passions. As Principal, I look
forward to each school year to not only watching children grow academically,
but also in their love of Jesus.
I am always available to parents by either email or phone (724-588-7050 or
724-699-5472). My husband and I have raised three children along with owning a
business in Pittsburgh. In my spare time, I enjoy being with my family which
also includes three precious granddaughters. God has truly blessed me
in many ways.

My name is Sheila Zuschlag and I am the kindergarten
teacher. I double majored in both
elementary education and special education at Clarion University, where I
received a B.S. degree. I taught junior
first grade, elementary gifted, and kindergarten in the Reynolds School
District. I then became the director of
Kids Korner Children’s Center, where I also taught preschool for 28 years. In addition, I have done substitute teaching
in many of the area schools and Head Start.
I live in Greenville with my husband, David. I attended St. Michael School as a child, as
did both of my children.
I very much enjoy
teaching, especially in the younger grades.
I find children of this age to be enthusiastic and eager to learn. I try to make learning fun through the use of
music, stories, manipulatives, and creative experiences. I hope to encourage independence and to
instill a lifelong love of learning in young children.

Emily Zgonc, daughter of the late Tim and Kathy Zgonc and the youngest of four children, including Mary, Kate and David, has been a lifetime member of St. Michael’s, where she also attended school until her graduation from 8th grade in 1998. She attended Greenville High School and then Thiel College where she graduated from Thiel College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education in 2006. Since then she has served in Grove City at Beloved Disciple Catholic Church as Facilitator of Religious Education, overseeing the religious education program for the people of the parish from preschool to adult. She is very excited to “come back home” to teach 5th grade this year at St. Michael’s, where hopes to pass on the school’s rich tradition of academic excellence backed by the solid teaching of the Catholic Faith. Emily enjoys learning more about Catholicism, especially the lives of the saints, reading, art, and spending time with her family. Her number one goal is to be a saint and make sure that the children she teaches know that they too can become saints!
